What Our Students Say

Tanya Dimitrova WUP student

‘The IELTS lessons were extremely helpful! The Maths lessons were somewhat challenging, but exactly what made the course exciting. The Economics and Management course had a great teacher who passionately involved the students and made the lessons exciting and Caroline's General Studies lessons were the most interesting lessons for me of all the course. Of the skills section, I probably found the interviews most helpful because I am inexperienced in that area. I need more practise.’

Adrien Born WUP student

‘Caroline and Andy were the perfect people for this programme! I really enjoyed their help and huge knowledge.’

‘The trips were very helpful for our applications to university.  We met professors and students from Oxford and University College who provided us with a lot of information.’

‘The food was good and I was shocked because my friends who have been in the U.K. said the food in the U.K. is not good. I will miss the programme, Corpus Christi and its food.’

I had lots of fun doing the film making and learned some communication skills in these lessons.’

‘Critical Thinking and General Studies are good and I learnt something new in every lesson.’

The mock interviews were helpful because I knew nothing about interviews and I feel I made progress and now speak more easily in interviews.’

‘Corpus Christi is the best venue for a summer school, at least from my past experiences. It is very beautiful and there is an incentive to work harder when you live and study on campus.

‘The trips were  really good. We learnt a lot about the history of the U.K. as well as enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Ely Cathedral and Warwick Castle were a great experience.’

‘My best activity was punting – the best way to enjoy Cambridge.  My favourite parts of the course were the debates and Communication Skills workshops. Since it was the first time doing public speaking and presentations I feel it has developed a sense of confidence in me.’

The one to one sessions with my Director of Studies and mock interviews were particularly helpful. These allowed me to converse openly with my counsellor about the doubts I had over my university applications. It also boosted my level of confidence.’
