I really enjoyed the classes related to my personal statement because I found them really useful. I also liked the Maths lessons which were simultaneously fun and interesting. I enjoyed the trip to the London Universities because I wanted to apply to Imperial College and now I’m determined to do so. The course was excellent and I recommend it highly.
I particularly enjoyed the Cambridge Open Day because it allowed me to visit different colleges and faculties and therefore has helped me make a better choice about which to apply for. I enjoyed the subject tuition, and the personal statement lessons gave me some useful tips on how to write an effective personal statement.
I really liked The Arts course because it was fascinating and the Critical Thinking lessons really helped me develop my skills. I enjoyed the trip to Oxford – it was so nice that I’ve decided to do my Master’s degree there. Corpus Christi College is a nice location and a good place to study during your undergraduate degree.
Bucksmore’s World University Preparation programme is both educational and enjoyable. While you get to meet and spend time with many amazing people from all around the World during your breaks, you get to learn about how to write your personal statement or what to do in your college interviews in your courses. Attending the World University Preparation programme helped me gain a better understanding of the British education system and what the universities are looking for in an applicant. It was a pleasant experience both socially and academically.

‘Corpus Christi is great in terms of facilities and remarkably its food. The staff have been really friendly and helpful…. As far as the food goes, you can’t expect more. It’s been really satisfying. Don’t change the chef. ’
‘The university visits were great and informative. Cambridge has certainly been the most inspiring place .’
‘I can’t choose between punting and visiting colleges as my favourite activity. General Studies really got me thinking hard and the topics are really interesting and inspiring. I particularly liked the topics on law and psychology. I really learned a lot in General Studies and it has been hard core thinking.’
‘The Economics lessons have been really helpful and were really interesting because it was more about how to think rather than what you know.’
‘The Personal Statement workshops in the Computer Room were really helpful because they pushed me to finish my personal statement. ‘

‘The accommodation at Corpus…it’s the best.’
‘I particularly enjoyed the Economics and Management lessons taught by Peter Stimpson.’
‘Corpus Christi is the best venue for a summer school, at least from my past experiences. It is very beautiful and there is an incentive to work harder when you live and study on campus.
‘The trips were really good. We learnt a lot about the history of the U.K. as well as enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Ely Cathedral and Warwick Castle were a great experience.’
‘My best activity was punting – the best way to enjoy Cambridge. My favourite parts of the course were the debates and Communication Skills workshops. Since it was the first time doing public speaking and presentations I feel it has developed a sense of confidence in me.’
The one to one sessions with my Director of Studies and mock interviews were particularly helpful. These allowed me to converse openly with my counsellor about the doubts I had over my university applications. It also boosted my level of confidence.’
I have fallen in love with Cambridge. I would surely recommend anyone to do this programme and thank for making my stay delightful.’
